Lomography Belair X6-12 Jetsetter Unbox

Happy Boxing Day!!! Are you unboxing your Christmas present?? Although I was unbox it last week, but it still fresh without film loaded into it.

The camera
So let's see what is in the box. The camera is big but light, Jetsetter is with metal body, but still light. Nothing much with the camera, just shutter, ISO selector, and that's all. Battery is not included in the package. It is just RM3.00 per battery. Maybe Lomography should included it in the package like the LC-A+, because this is just tiny money. Neck strap or hand strap is not included too. So far, this is the first camera that I had without neck strap in the package. I need to get one for it.

Camera with lens
The bellow

2 lens are included in the package, 58mm and 90mm. Both lens are plastic lens, and Lomography just launched 2 glass lens which is 135mm and 90mm. Yes, this camera package is cheap, so don't expect a prefect glass lens is included with the camera.

90mm lens
58mm lens

View finder are included. The design of view finder to attach on the camera is great, which is simple and easy. But I don't know how fit it will be, or when will it break, especially when put in the bag. The most important thing is the frame bracket, which let you choose between 6x6, 6x9, 6x12, are in the package.
Viewfinder

So everything is simple, simple manual, simple box, simple package, and how about the picture quality? Will find it out later.

14.12.12

Today is not 12.12.12, but today 14.12.12 is much more special. Happy 13th anniversary. 13 years is long, we had a lot of good time. For sure, it won't just be the 13, it will be 20, 50, and so on. It's time too to another step of life. Love you.

We
Our dinner
14.12.12, launching of iPhone 5 in Malaysia too, I got mine too. No queue, I hate queue. No waiting, I hate waiting. No crowded, I still ok with crowded. This was the situation at the Maxis center in the early morning of 730am. You might be think that I am crazy, but no. I am not queue for overnight like people in Kuala Lumpur. My plan was go to Maxis center at noon. But my friend called me in the 730am, and asked to go now. He was there, and signing for the phone. So I brush my teeth and took bath. In the end, my friend is the third guy to get the phone and I am the fifth guy. So lucky huh?? iPhone 5 for the fifth guy, but nothing special for me. Hahaha. Black and slate, this is just all black.

Never lost your camera, Happy 12.12.12

Double exposure is something that fun. Yes, this time I double expose using Hipstamatic from iPhone. This is great and fun to play with. Hipstamatic is not as popular ad Instagram, maybe because this is not a FREE apps, but what this apps offer you is just amazing, especially this double expose, Instagram don't have it.

Hipstamatic

Isn't that this is great to have your own face on your own camera? No body could steal it. Haha.

Happy 12.12.12

LC-Wide quarrel with its viewfinder

All of sudden, when you took your LC-W out of your bag, look into viewfinder, and found out that why the image in the viewfinder so blur, it just heart break. I don't know how the viewfinder can fall out so easily. No drop on the floor, no knock, no throw, but why?? I can't think why it is, scratching my head until now.

So you see the viewfinder?
I need fix it. I can't put it back just like that, the space is not big enough to put it back. I need to open the cover.
I need to put it back
Screwdriver ready. Get it work. After open it up, I just push the viewfinder into it. Close the cover, and hope that this won't be happen again. Finger crossed.

Screwdriver, open the cover.
I push it back
Settled!

It is all about the BIG L, Lubitel 166+

Yesterday I got it, something that in my wish list for such along time, but didn't get it into my bag.

It's all about the big L, Lubitel 166+. Is it worth?? I am not sure. Some said that better get other twin reflex lens camera, some want the effect. I don't know how good it can be. Let me try it out first.

I never tried with 120 film format, all the while, all I know is that 120 film is expensive. That's why I didn't really touch it. I wish I could try. So I ordered my Belair, which is still in production, and I didn't get it yet. I got an offer to get the Belair in advance without the packaging boxes. But I wish to get it in one whole packaging. I rather wait.

While I waiting, Lubitel 166+ in my house now. My love gift this to me. Expensive, she spent all her piggies points on this. Yes, it is a gift, thank you, my lovely.

Stay tuned. Testing testing, actually I not yet un-box it.

Photo of the Day on 14 November 2012

14 November 2012
Photo of the Day!
Thank you thank you.

The photo taken with Nikon FE,
loaded with first rolled of film,
which is Fuji Velvia 100, expired.
Really didn't expect such a good result.
I love the outcome so much,
fine grain, sharp, smooth,
contrast and hue.

I setup for this,
using a table lamp which with florescent light bulb,
a diary, a plastic flower,
and a ring, to reflect the love shape.

A lot of people done this,
this is my first time,
I never try this with digital camera.

Actually beside the ring,
should be a word with marry.
But this is no macro lens,
only a 50mm F/1.4,
so can't read the small little word.
Just one take, and only 1 take.

I like the color, contrast and hue.
I love this combination of camera and film.

Film with Ferrania Solaris 100

Get your LC-A+ or LC-W today,
it is 20% off!!
Don't miss the chance.

Recently tried with Nikon FE with Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35.
I'm so pleased with the result.

Same film put in the Nikon FE,
and in the LC-A+,
totally different result.

Before I see the result of Nikon FE,
I thought Solaris 100 is not that good.
But actually sometimes it depends on which camera you use,
and also the lighting condition.

Nikon FE with Lensbaby Sweet 35
Nikon FE, Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35, Ferrania Solaris 100
Vacation in Koh Samui
LC-A+ RL, Ferrania Solaris 100
When using Nikon FE, I add EV +1,
that's mean I'm treating the film as ISO50.
Because actually when using Lensbaby,
the exposure is insufficient.
After few tried, the best would be +1 EV or +1.3 EV.

When using in LC-A+,
treating the film as ISO50 will get over expose,
and end up too bright.
But try and error is not a problem.

Lomography Belair X 6-12 Globe Trotter is SOLD OUT!

When I was finally decided to take the Globe trotter with snake skin,
but unfortunately it is SOLD OUT.
With only 300 units in the world,
super limited edition!

Honestly, I am more prefer to the all black,
which is City Slicker.
But after I read the description,
it is just plastic body.
I don't want plastic body!!
I want metal body!!!
So, all black is out of my mind.

I thought to take the snake skin which is Globe trotter,
but due to overwhelming,
it is SOLD OUT!!
Unexpected. Too fast.
Actually I don't mind about the design,
I just want to metal body,
if the black is metal body,
I would take it.

I choose snake skin just because limited edition metal body.
But now,
I have to settle with brown skin, Jet setter.
Jet setter, I am gonna pre-order you.
With the piggies points that I have,
I only need to pay so little.
Thanks to Lomography.

Lomgoraphy Belair X 6-12, will this my first 120 format camera?

Lomoggraphy announced Lomography Belair X 6-12 on 18 October.
Only for pre-order,
and you can get 30% discount!!

When I first look at the camera,
I thought this will be expensive,
surprisingly, it is not.
The price is cheaper than LC-A+,
cheaper than Lubitel 166+,
I'm so surprise.

Yes, it is auto expose,
with zone focus like LC-A+,
metal body,
Yes, it is, metal body!!!
not plastic body like LC-A+ and Lubitel 166+.

For sure, lower price,
then you can't get feature like Lubitel 166+ and LC-A+.
Maximum aperture of f/8,
it would be great if I have more aperture option to choose.

So, will this the first 120 format camera for me??
Which design do you like?
Lomography Belair X 6-12 Globe trotter

Lomography Belair X 6-12 Jetsetter

Lomography Belair X 6-12 Cityslicker

Actually I like the all black Cityslicker,
but the Globe trotter is limited edition and only 300 units.
So, which one to choose?

Nikon FE with Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35

I got my Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 sometimes ago.
This is manual focus lens,
so to get a sharp and focused picture,
you will need some skill,
this is the problem of manual focus lens,
especially someone like me with spectacles.

When I look thru the viewfinder,
and thought that the object is in focus,
but actually it is not,
maybe 0.1 - 0.3m not in focus,
especially when using big aperture from f/1.4 - 4.0.

When I use DSLR last time,
and I tried with manual focus,
I notice about this problem.
I thought it is in focus,
but it is not.

I don't know is it the problem with my spectacles,
or something else,
but I know it is hard to use manual focus.

I love Lensbaby,
but if Lensbaby with auto focus,
surely it will help me a lot to get the sweet spot.

Boom! Sweet spot! In focus!

When you send your car for service

Recently, I sent Peugeot 3008 to service. There is some noise from left rear wheel and braking problem. The story started when that there are no service center in Kuantan to do the job. So I had to send to Glenmarie service center.

Before I made an appointment, I called them to confirm the available of spare part, but they can't let me know how long to fix the problem. How come you don't know that you need how long to fix the problem? Alright, appointment made.

Went to the center on 5 Oct morning, drive all the way long from Kuantan to Glenmarie. Arrived at 10am, wait until 1.30pm, no feeback, and the car still park at the same place. I went out with friend, and call to the service center again to check with the status at 4pm. He said he will call me back on the status. No call back, no feedback.

Went again to the center in the next day morning, I saw my car still parking at the same place. Asked them, and I have to wait. Kind of pissed off, if you can't service and inspect my car on Friday, then don't take this appointment. When your servicing list is too long, please let me know, and I can pick another day, and let me plan. They just wasted my Friday. What for I send the car on Friday to inspect on Saturday? What a lame.

The worst was they just told me that they tighten all the loose part temporary and ask me to made another appointment because they need a week time to fix the problem. Then WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME ON FRIDAY?!!? If you can tell me earlier, then I won't wait until Saturday. Or just because you didn't even inspect it on FRIDAY? What a disappointing experience.

They told me they already tighten the loosen part. But actually I can see what they are doing at the waiting room. I saw they drive the car into the workshop, then park there for 5 minutes, then no body work on that, and then drive it out, later on somebody come to me and tell me it is ok. Gosh. Kind of speechless. If like that, why don't just take your 5 minutes to check on FRIDAY and let me know the answer on FRIDAY?

Car had to leave there for a week, because I don't want to take back the car that still not fixed and make for another appointment. Time wasting. I decide to take bus. Reached at bus station at 2pm, thought to get 2pm ticket and straight away go back, then the girl in front of me, bought the last ticket of 2pm. -_-||| Have to get 5pm ticket. Finally, on the bus, and thought everything will be going smooth. But the story was not finish, bus tire burst off. GOSH. I think I have no luck at all.

Another bus come over and took all the passengers and at last I'm back. I think I can control my emotional quite well, I trained for it. Compared to my previous previous job, this is nothing. Wish me luck, I think I will have luck next time

The problem of my LC-A+

Sawadee Koh Samui
Chaweng Street, Koh Samui
Why I posted this photo?
This photo is at some cost, why?
This is the last photo before I dropped my LC-A+ RL on the hard and sturdy road.
So you get me?
Clips on the wide angle lens broken,
viewfinder of wide angle lens falling apart,
luckily I still can assemble it back.
Then I tried on the camera,
"click", yes it sound, so shutter no problem,
I thought it was no problem.
So I just keep shooting,
but then I feel something was wrong.
When I shoot at night, the shutter speed just too fast,
I just wonder.
Then I realized that the red light in the viewfinder of the camera,
didn't light up.
GOSH.
I wasted about 20 shots,
more importantly, which is my holiday vacation shots!!
THE "CLICK" SOUND DOESN'T MEAN IT'S WORK!!
Out of battery?
Nope, after I pull out and put it back,
the light actually blink when I press the shutter.
That's mean some contact between the battery is wrong.

So now, every time I try to shoot,
I gonna make sure that the red light is lighting.
So, after I wasted so many shots,
the next photo that I got is this.
