Film with Ferrania Solaris 100

Get your LC-A+ or LC-W today,
it is 20% off!!
Don't miss the chance.

Recently tried with Nikon FE with Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35.
I'm so pleased with the result.

Same film put in the Nikon FE,
and in the LC-A+,
totally different result.

Before I see the result of Nikon FE,
I thought Solaris 100 is not that good.
But actually sometimes it depends on which camera you use,
and also the lighting condition.

Nikon FE, Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35, Ferrania Solaris 100
Vacation in Koh Samui
LC-A+ RL, Ferrania Solaris 100
When using Nikon FE, I add EV +1,
that's mean I'm treating the film as ISO50.
Because actually when using Lensbaby,
the exposure is insufficient.
After few tried, the best would be +1 EV or +1.3 EV.

When using in LC-A+,
treating the film as ISO50 will get over expose,
and end up too bright.
But try and error is not a problem.

Nikon FE with Lensbaby Composer Pro Sweet 35

I got my Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 sometimes ago.
This is manual focus lens,
so to get a sharp and focused picture,
you will need some skill,
this is the problem of manual focus lens,
especially someone like me with spectacles.

When I look thru the viewfinder,
and thought that the object is in focus,
but actually it is not,
maybe 0.1 - 0.3m not in focus,
especially when using big aperture from f/1.4 - 4.0.

When I use DSLR last time,
and I tried with manual focus,
I notice about this problem.
I thought it is in focus,
but it is not.

I don't know is it the problem with my spectacles,
or something else,
but I know it is hard to use manual focus.

I love Lensbaby,
but if Lensbaby with auto focus,
surely it will help me a lot to get the sweet spot.

Boom! Sweet spot! In focus!

Hello, Nikon FE

I got something new, something that new to me but old thing, that's Nikon FE. This is a SLR.

When people talking and looking at FM2, I got the FE. FM model is fully manual, which you need to choose the aperture and shutter speed. FE has some easy feature, it has AUTO, so just switch to your desired aperture, just leave the shutter speed to the camera. FE measure correct exposure by centre weighed metering, about 30%, not spot metering.

Will try this soon. Hello, Nikon FE
